As a long time partner with Memorial Hospital of South Bend, we have enjoyed the privilege of working on numerous projects with several departments. The most recent was the new Surgery Center, or South Pavillion. We have expanded the existing networked Rauland Responder IV nurse call system into the surgery project as well as providing them with additional DSX card access control systems. In this facility 450 beds, Communication Company works with Security, Biomed, telecommunication, Nursing, and Information Technology groups. We are involved with the consistent upgrades to the CCTV Security systems with over (150) cameras and a dozen networked Digital Video Recorders. The hospital’s DSX Access Control System encompasses both the main campus and remote sites.
Challenge: Bring the hospital’s new surgery center (known as the South Pavilion) in under the umbrella of technologies we had already designed and implemented throughout previous projects.
Solution: We expanded existing nurse call systems into the surgery center and incorporated security building access systems for the 450-bed facility.
