Have You Tested Your Facility Fire Alarms Lately?

Fire Alarm and Life Safety System Inspections for Acute, Critical Environments

Communication Company completes fire alarm and life safety systems inspections for acute facilities in accordance with NFPA and applicable sections of ACHC/HFAP (Chapter 13 Life Safety) Standards.

  • Healthcare: Hospitals, long-term care, senior living centers, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, AHEPAs

  • Education: K-12, technical schools, colleges, universities

  • Commercial: Real estate development, property management, hotels, restaurants

  • Industrial: Manufacturers, logistics, transportation, machining, energy

  • Government and municipalities

It is a critical requirement that your facilities meet visual and functional requirements as determined by The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) Standards. Our inspection process helps to ensure that required performance measurements and ranges of acceptable results are met and documented per inspection guidelines.  Whenever discrepancies exist between acceptable performance standards and actual test results, notes and/or recommended solutions are proposed or provided for immediate review and approval.

About NFPA Standards

NFPA is committed to promoting the Fire and Life Safety Ecosystem to protect people and property against evolving safety threats and wants to work with others who are part of this critical system.

NFPA 25 is the baseline for inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems. Compliance helps maximize system integrity to avoid failure and ensure a fast, effective response in a fire emergency.

About ACHC/HFAP Standards in Healthcare

AAHHS is the parent company of the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), the accrediting body for a number of hospitals and critical access hospitals in the U.S. HFAP functions as a brand within ACHC, and together, the organization is known as ACHC.

  • HFAP accredits hospitals, critical access hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinical laboratories. HFAP also provides accreditation for ambulatory specialty care/office-based surgery and certification for stroke care, laser and lithotripsy services, joint replacement programs, advanced compounding, and wound care.

  • ACHC accredits home health, hospice, renal dialysis, home infusion therapy, and DMEPOS and has additional programs for behavioral health, ambulatory care, pharmacy, private duty, and sleep medicine.

Meeting ACHC/HFAP standards is especially important in facilities caring for Medicare or Medicaid patients.
