City of Mishawaka

In the fall of 2019, CCSB was asked to look at quoting life safety testing and monitoring for the City of Mishawaka, Indiana. They were having problems keeping up with fire code compliance because every department and building was doing their own testing and it was not centralized for better coordination and maintenance. Monitoring the fire alarms was also giving them issues with false alarms or no notifications. The City decided to centralize the testing and assigned the IT Department to maintain NFPA compliance.

Problem: The IT Department didn't know what systems they had or if these systems were even operating properly.

Solution: CCSB was able to survey all 20 buildings to count each fire alarm system smoke detector, duct detector, pull station, and A/V. They also surveyed sprinkler systems, suppression systems, extinguisher tanks and fire monitoring equipment and dialers. As a result of the centralized testing program offered by CCSB, all City of Mishawaka buildings are now NFPA compliant and the City now knows what equipment will need to be looked at for replacements or repairs.
