In 2011, Communication Company was asked to assist the City of South Bend in the design and engineering of the renovation to the Stanley Coveleski Stadium, home of the South Bend Silverhawks.  This renovation was a large undertaking.  Our goal was to assist in making not only the games here an experience, but also the other events that are held throughout the year.

The first addition to the design was the large video display scoreboard.  Along with this feature came three cameras and a broadcast video switcher which allows live shot, replays, graphics, statistics, and boundless other applications – all of which are visible in full sunlight.

Each suite was renovated, creating smaller-scale entertaining areas with the latest in sound and video for each of these spaces.  In the “upper-deck,” an area was created for private parties and meetings.  Included features are HD displays, video projection and an amazing sound system that rounds out the ultimate fan experience.

One of the key components of the renovation was the creation of a park-like environment, allowing patrons to walk a full circle around the stadium.  This walkway is lined with unique lighting and sound applications, bringing the atmosphere of the events taking place within the stadium to the boundaries of the property.

In the main stadium all of the sound systems were replaced with new JBL speakers and Crown amplifiers.  With a setup like this, the fans find it hard to contain their excitement once the music and game-day sounds start.  CCSB is proud to have its name associated with The Cove and proud of the final product we have designed within this facility.
